Admission Procedure for Local Student
The admission process for MBBS in Bangladesh for 2025 involves the following steps:
1. The applicant must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
2. The candidate must have passed the HSC/equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024.
3. Candidates who passed the SSC/equal exam before 2021 will not be considered eligible.
4. Eligible candidates will have to apply in accordance with the BM&DC Admission Policy-2025
5. Applied candidates have to appear in written test of 100 marks.
6. Candidates securing less than 40 marks in the written examination will be considered ineligible for admission to the MBBS course.
7. Candidates who have passed the written examination should select their preferred college and apply for admission in the private medical college as per the schedule of the DGME
8. According to the merit order, the selected candidates should contact the respective colleges for admission.
The Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) is responsible for the admission process and regulates medical education in Bangladesh. Some eligibility criteria for MBBS admission in Bangladesh include:
· Minimum marks in Biology: 70% (GPA) 4.00
· Minimum aggregate GPA in SSC/’O’ level or equivalent and HSC/’A’ level or equivalent examination: 9.00 (Nine)
The MBBS course in Bangladesh is five years long, followed by a one-year compulsory rotatory internship.
